On 30th August 2011, CFM Holdings Ltd’s subsidiary in Uzbekistan, Uzbek-Singapore Joint Venture “CFM ProEnergies” LLC held its official opening ceremony in Navoi Free Industrial Economic Zone, Uzbekistan on the same day with other 3 companies located the Navoi FIEZ.
Opening ceremony was attended by dignitaries from Navoi Governor’s office, Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations, Investment and Trade of Uzbekistan, Administration of FIEZ Navoi and leading companies located in Navoi province.
Governor of Navoi Province Mr Turdimov during his opening speech said that CFM ProEnergies was its first kind of LED lights factory not only in Uzbekistan but in all Central Asia. He said that energy saving LED lights assembled in CFM ProEnergies factory would allow businesses and households to consume less electricity and achieve high energy efficiency. He thanked company’s shareholders for setting up the factory in Navoi province and creating job places for local people, especially young college graduates. Then Mdm Janet Lim, CEO of CFM Holdings Ltd and Governor of Navoi Province cut the red ribbon thereby declaring the factory open officially.
All guests were invited to a tour in the building of the factory of CFM ProEnergies. First, visitors were invited to showroom where LED lights, including LED bulbs, street lights, traffic lights, high bay lamps, flood lights were presented. Guests were informed about technical specifications of each presented LED lights and their advantages over traditional lights.
Next, guests visited assembly floor with a new conveyor line bought in China. Mr Ben Xiao, Technical Director of CFM ProEnergies presented assembly floor and explained assembly technology to guests. Visitors also saw packaging equipment and labs with different testing equipment. Mr Telman Mukhitdinov, Deputy General Director of CFM ProEnergies informed the Governor and guests that company recruited more than 30 employees, mainly local people and created comfortable working conditions for them such as transport to the factory, hot meal, uniform and training.
Then guests were invited to refreshments arranged at the factory.
